Many first-time skydivers come to our dropzone for a one-off jump only to find that after experiencing one of life's most incredible adventures, they can't get enough! If you wish to take your love of skydiving beyond the tandem skydive and experience the pure adrenaline of solo flight, Jumptown offers skydiving lessons through our AFF - Accelerated Free Fall training program to become a certified skydiver!
AFF is an eight (8) jump progression program designed to add skill sets that transform the novice to a safe and independent, solo skydiver. After the completion of your AFF training, you will need to complete various coach jumps to develop group skydiving skills. To achieve your license, you need a minimum of 25 jumps (including your AFF and coach jumps). Refer to our helpful graphic below for an explanation:
Unlike other dropzones in the area, we offer a focused and intensive 4-Day AFF Camp to provide a more personal group learning environment, based on discussion and information sharing. The course is demanding, and for this reason classes are limited to 4 persons.
This course also offers big savings over our regular AFF course: our camp is priced at $1,665 - giving you savings of almost $200 compared to other dropzone's offerings! Check out the detailed pricing structure below.
If you'd like to book the camp, please book online here. Slots are very limited, so act fast!

This class will take 7-8 hours including breaks and will end with a group recap/review of all material.
Then it's time to team up with your instructors and perform the first jump of the course AFF CAT-A.
As the weekend progresses you will participate in all jump planning, including equipment inspections, exit and freefall rehearsals and most importantly - preparing your flight plan using wind speed and direction forecasts to calculate exit and opening points, intended canopy flight path and a landing pattern.
Each and every skydive is a pre-planned sequence of events. Nothing is left to chance.
Remember: Skydiving is weather dependent. If the weather cooperates and you remain focused, our aim is for AFF Camp students to complete the course and jump solo by Sunday afternoon.
For those wanting to avoid the traffic or to enjoy sitting by the campfire, Jumptown has a comfortable bunkhouse, hot showers, and a common kitchen on site to make for a comfortable stay.
Stay one night or all three nights! Just be sure to let manifest know if you need accommodation when you book your AFF Camp slot. Please bring your own bedding.
Camps start every Thursday during the season.
Skydiving lessons begin with an intensive ground school starting at 8 AM Saturday morning. Lasting between eight to ten hours, first-time jumpers are trained on how to use the parachute equipment, correct freefall body position, emergency procedures and flying the parachute. The class is followed by your first jump (weather and time permitting) with two instructors who fly alongside giving feedback to correct body position and assisting where needed.
Training continues adding additional skill sets for each jump. Jumps B and C1 are made with two instructors.
Jumps C2-E1 consist of jumping alongside one instructor who will be adding to your skill sets preparing you to make your Category E2 jump as a solo skydiver!
