To the staff of Jumptown

My husband and I would like to express our thanks for a MOST exciting 60th birthday. From the moment we drove into the parking lot until the moment we drove out we were treated with such kindness. I want to especially thank Cam for all of his kindness. He was patient with me and I truly appreciated that as well did my husband. I have been asked many times if I would jump again and my answer is a strong MAYBE. Again thank you all for making my 60th unforgettable. Thank you.

Dear Everyone,
I had an amazing time at my jump! It was the most amazing experience of my life and i can't wait to do it again. You were all so helpful and friendly. I am so thankful and i appreciate everything so much! All of your information was very helpful and i am so interested in learning more about skydiving. Thanks again,

To the Jumptown staff,

I recently went skydiving with you guys on October 19, 2008 through Brandeis University and had the time of my life! You guys made me feel safe and secure and put all my worries at ease so I could focus on having fun. My instructor, Sean Johannessen, was witty, knowledgeable, and very trustworthy, I couldn't wait to actually jump. Sean told me I would be on a high for the next three days, to which I laughed it off. But he was more than right! It's been almost a week and I'm still thinking about it.

Skydiving gave me this new perspective in life, and I feel like I have just met a new part of me. Yes, it sounds cliche, but it is completely true. It is so quiet up in the air and the ground is incredibly breathtaking (especially during the fall foliage), you truly feel as if nothing else matters. There is nothing to do but just think about the amazing time you are having and reflect upon your life. In a matter of minutes, I realized not to stress about school or other problems. Life is too short to worry about some small things when you can celebrate other ones instead. Just this week I had a huge midterm to write. Whenever I got stuck and frustrated, I minimized my screen and looked at my desktop background of one of the pictures that came with my DVD. I remembered to breathe, much like I did while in free fall, and get through it so I could move on to something more important: fun. I cannot thank you enough for blowing this lesson into my face, literally.

You guys take risks every day to show others what life is really about. Without you students, parents, grandparents would not be able to experience the world from above. And I learned that without experiencing it from above, you are not experiencing it to the fullest. So again, I thank you.

I would specifically Diane, for being so kind to all of us so early in the morning. We were tired and nervous, and you made us feel at home by showing us places to relax and wait. Thank you to the Manifest staff, specifically a beyond friendly woman whose name I cannot remember (but I do remember that as of 10/19 she had jumped 225 times!), for answering all of our questions with a smile. Your scheduling was clear and efficient, and for this we all had less to worry about. I can't forget Dave Bryce for capturing the best experience of my life on DVD! The video is incredible and I cannot stop watching it! Even more, the pictures capture every feeling. I look at my desktop background and all of a sudden I get this rush again. Again, it is the feeling I need to get me through the day. I am so thankful that my sister convinced me to get the video. The only thing I wish is that I kept my head up more so my face would be seen in all the pictures. But, the ones where my head is down, I am reminded of the beautiful ground, which never seemed to get closer until right before landing. Finally, I have to thank Sean Johannessen, my instructor, for reminding me to have fun, making me feel safe, and giving me the best ride (and experience) of my life.

I know you guys were short of staff on Sunday, but you treated each customer with the utmost respect and we never would have known if we were not told. Because of that, my experience was enhanced and truly perfect.

I want to thank you all once more, and I can't wait to see you all again! Hopefully, it will be as early as the spring! Keep it safe, Keep it fun, and Keep jumping!

Love,
Alex

P.S. If you are ever looking for more pictures or videos to post on your website, you are more than welcome to use mine. I would love if I could help be part of someone else's experience to skydive!

Dear Jumptown Staff,

I just wanted to thank you for making my 1st (and hopefully 1st of many) jumps today SO perfect. The staff were fantastic--easy going, helpful, funny, and of course knowledgeable. Of course I was kinda nervous (especially at the door!), but the staff made the experience really wonderful all around.

After my jump, my instructor, Paul Peckham, had to go back up right away for another jump and I did not get a chance to thank him and say bye. So whoever reads this, would you please tell Paul that Avi says thanks so much, it was absolutely fantastic!!! =)

Thanks again everybody.

Best,
Avi

Dear Jumptown,

On july 13 2006 my daughter meagan and myself had our first jump ever......it was the experience of a lifetime for both of us!!!!! I would like to thank all of you and your staff for making us feel safe and secure during the training and what we should expect during the jump. My tandem master KEVIN BARRETT calmed many of my fears and made me feel very safe.......not an easy thing to do for me as i am terrified of hieghts . I owe him and your staff many thanks.

Note...your vidieo people are awesome.......I will have to make a copy of mine soon before i wear it out. (mine was rabbit)

I waited 30 years for this jump ( huge chicken ) and it was well worth the wait!!!!

Again please thank KEVIN for me......we will be back, next time I will try to con my son into the experience of a lifetime.

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING.......

-JIM AND MEAGAN H

Jumptown Staff

On behalf of my son Bryan, his girlfriend Alex and myself, I would like to thank you for the most exhilarating experience in my life when we all took our first jump on July 13, 2006.

From the moment we got there until our jump your staff not only made us feel welcome but extremely comfortable and safe. There really are no words to describe the feeling of jumping out at 13,500 feet. I have not stopped thinking about it since we did it. My son and I talked about doing this for at least the last 5 years and made a promise to do it when he turned 18 which he did this year.

I am happy we chose Jumptown for our first jump and we have made a pact to do it every summer going forward.

A special thanks to Keith for his professionalism and calming influence. What a trip.

Thanks Again and see you next summer.

-Mike M

Just wanted to send a quick thank you to everyone at Jumptown, especially my Jumpmaster Dan and videographer Muppet, for a great first jump yesterday! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and Dan made me as relaxed as anyone who is about to plunge 13,500 feet can be! Skydiving is something I have wanted to do for a long time and I could not have asked for a better experience! I almost can't believe it happened! The video is awesome; I've watched it non-stop since getting home so I can relive the experience. I get the feeling this won't be the last time I do this! Thank so much for making my day so special!

We did our first Tandem skydive at Jumptown on Friday the 24th of September and we thought it was awesome. But the most important thing that we came away with was the way that you and your staff performed. Very professional in every aspect of the jump.

Paul Peckham put us at ease and calmed our fears with the training prior to the jump. Ben, Kev-man, Dave Parody and Paul the individuals we were tandem to were outstanding and fun guys.

You people gave us a day that we will never forget.

THANK YOU

-Nina and Art R.
-Pat and Ben F.

I knew it would be great but hadn't expected such complete trust and confidence in the ability of the jumpmaster. Thank you, thank you Keith and everyone else for this "ultimate experience".

-Joan

I just wanted to send a quick thank you to you and your staff for making me and my friends' experience yesterday at Jumptown so memorable and enjoyable. We had such a great time - we talked about it the entire ride home... and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!

The tandem instructors made us feel very safe and comfortable, and of course ensured that we had nothing but fun (shout out to Dave Parody). The video's and pictures are great - a special thanks to my photographer John K...I love it! :)

I will highly recommend Jumptown to everyone! I'm moving to San Diego in a month, but I will be back!!

Thanks again,

-Leanna

Thank you for hosting the World Cup Speed Skydiving meet. My 7 hour drive to your DZ was very worth the trip. I felt welcome and at home from the moment I arrived there. I am looking foward to being at Jumptown again (and more sooner than later).

From a new friend,

-Grant Gallagher

To all, especially Dick and Jeff.

I have done some crazy things in my life, but jumping had to be the best experience of my life. No one could have told me what a thrill skydiving could be, I have been on cloud nine since I guarantee I will be back, so will the people who accompanied me.

I have watched the video five times already. I strongly suggest for first time jumpers to get the video, well worth the money.

Again, Thank You

-Tim S.

Hey Paul, Ben, Keith, Jeff, Rody, and Bryce:

I wish that I could speak for myself, Koren, and Jen and tell all of you what an experience it was for us on Friday, but it was too damn good for words. We can't stop talking about it and we are coming back as soon as possible.

We all agree that getting to hang around with all of you for so long waiting for the weather to turn was probably the best thing that could have happened for us. By the time we took off we felt like we knew all of you, and saw how crazy you all were, we loved it.

The pictures and video came out fantastic. We'll send some pictures this week.

-Bev, Koren and Jen

To Everyone at Jumptown,

I wanted to thank you all for helping me with my first, though not last, dive a few weeks ago. Paul was great in both reassuring me as we boarded the plane, and reminding me why its a thrill - since you never know what's going to happen!

I was there with my buddy Mike, who made us go to kick off his bachelor party. Needless to say, Jumptown was STILL the highlight of the day. Mikey even handled the wedding the following week with a calm and cool that could only come from hitting terminal velocity over Orange. There definitely will be another trip from Boston-this time with everyone who has spent the past few weeks listening to our story.

Thanks again for helping me check off one more thing on life's "To Do" list.

-Brian G.

Jumptown Staff,

I want to express my gratitude for making a dream of mine come true. Reality is beginning to set in and I may not continue skydiving, but your professionalism and care made my day especially memorable.

I have flown with the eagles and freefall is like nothing else I have ever done in my 70 years. Amazing freedom!

Thank you again.

-Elizabeth L.

To Whom It May Concern,

While I have no doubt you receive a large number of thank you letters from both one-time jumpers as well as newly christened lifelong addicts, please allow me to express my deep gratitude to Jumptown and specifically Kevman for making my first jump literally a thrill of a lifetime.

Having gone with my entire family to "take the plunge" on October 13th, I heard only glowing remarks from my sister, brother and mother about their experience as a whole and the jumpmasters they were paired with.

Admittedly, it's quite easy to form an immediate bond with the jumper strapped to your back, but even easier to draw off their energy and passion for the sport.

Speaking personally, Kevman was not only an outgoing and likeable tandem partner, but he was also professional, thorough, and gave the jump the respect it deserved.

With no question whatsoever in Kevin's skills and experience, I was able to make the most of the experience, enjoy the view, and burn the trip down into my memory, reliving it over and over again every time I close my eyes.

For Jumptown's friendly service, and for Kevman's help in putting a smile on my face that has yet to fade, I remain humbly grateful.

Thanks again, and I can't wait until the next one!!

-Keith M.

Jumptown Members-

I wanted to quickly send a huge "thank you" to my jumpmaster, Paul P, and to Jeff A, for recording the entire experience. Thanks to you both for showing me a whole new world.

Thanks to Jumptown, I am now addicted to the rush of skydiving. I participate in many adrenaline-filled sports but this is, by far, the greatest!

I will be back soon and I have decided that I am going to pursue the sport seriously.

Thanks again for the incredible experience. I will never look at the sky in the same way ever again.

-Sean W.
