Jumptown's primary aircraft is a de Haviland Canada DHC-6 Super Twin Otter.  The Twin Otter series started production in 1965 and is currently in production by Viking Air Ltd..  The aircraft is very popular with more than 800 produced and it remains the largest selling 19 seat commuter airplane in the world.  Its Short Takeoff and Landing (STOL) capabilities and high rate of climb contribute to its success with small commuter airlines, military operations, NOAA misions, and even scenic touring.  The Twin Otter is also a heavy favorite of skydiving operations across the United States.
